It’s so important to Passport that there is Collaboration with other agencies and the results are amazing.
One collaboration is with the
GAME CHANGE PROJECT
This is an amazing project run by Andrew and Sian Evans and is based in Caersws near Llanidloes
This fabulous couple work with young adults who may find it difficult to find work that suits their skills.
Ian, Bob (Powys) and Lee Coles (friend of Rotary) have been offering training in tiling, bricklaying, digger driving and other skills that are so needed for work.
But as well as learning new skills it’s so important these young people develop their confidence and self belief
Yesterday ( all social distancing compliant . . . )
2 groups of 6 were taken in the Pass Mobile ( more about that next week) to the Red Kite Cafe at Clywedog.
The cafe is run by Artist and Sculptor Pam Gordon
One group spent the morning learning gardening skills .
The other Group spent the morning with Osian Gwent from Osian Arts . They spent their time working on black and white sketches and then painting them in colour
Everyone stopped for lunch , 2 mtrs apart , and then they swapped over the project were working on.
The Red Kite Cafe offer vegetarian and vegan food, all delicious and gorgeous cakes made by Morgan
Once everyone had eaten their full it was back to work
All the young people went home with their painting and were absolutely bursting with excitement and pride. on the Pass Mobile. And rightly so, they had achieved so much
This project is so important and worthwhile. Hopefully the young people will all find employment that they deserve and that uses their skills and confidence.
